Marjorie Perry Named to 2007 New Jersey's
50 Best Women in Business List
BCCNJ member Marjorie Perry (right), president and chief executive officer of Newark-based MZM Construction & Management Company, has been named to NJBIZ magazine’s New Jersey’s 50 Best Women in Business for 2007 list. The Best 50 recognition from NJBIZ, the state’s leading business news publication, honors New Jersey’s leading woman business leaders for their impact in creating jobs and building communities in the Garden State.

Perry’s firm, MZM Construction & Management, is a total service provider comprised of two divisions: MZM Construction, which carries out the construction phase of company projects, and MZM Records Management, which provides technical and professional services supporting each project’s prime design consultant or construction contractor in the record keeping process. MZM’s client list includes Delta Airlines/Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Marriott Courtyard/Residence Inn, Verizon and Whiting Turner Contracting Company.

The honorees were selected by an independent, four-judge panel comprised of Annette Catino, president and CEO of QualCare, Inc, Ann Limberg, president of Bank of America New Jersey, Suzanne V. Skipper, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, and Liza M. Walsh, partner, Connell Foley LLP. Using a point system, the panel rated nominees in three categories: professional accomplishment, including level of achievement within the nominee's company, industry and region; community involvement, including past and present activities in which the nominee and/or her business has participated; and advocacy for women within the nominee's company, industry and region.
